American Heart Association: Heartsaver
CPR & AED Training: (Adult, Child, & Infant CPR)
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency lifesaving
procedure that is performed when a person's own breathing or heart beat have
stopped.
AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator and is a device used to
analyze the heart's rhythm for any abnormalities and, if necessary, delivers
an electrical shock to help the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm of
its own.
The Jackson County Health Department provides training in CPR/AED as well
as First Aid Classes. Certified trainers will provide classes for
groups of 5 or more at your office. Participants must be at least
twelve years old.
CPR Classes are held the fourth Monday of each month,
6 pm - 9 pm.
You must register at least 7 days in advance
Cost is
$40 (must be prepaid).

Other Services Include:
- Provide on-site CPR/AED and first aid training.

The cost is $30.
