American Heart Association: Heartsaver CPR & AED Training: (Adult, Child, & Infant CPR)

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency lifesaving procedure that is performed when a person's own breathing or heart beat have stopped.

AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator and is a device used to analyze the heart's rhythm for any abnormalities and, if necessary, delivers an electrical shock to help the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm of its own.

The Jackson County Health Department provides training in CPR/AED as well as First Aid Classes.  Certified trainers will provide classes for groups of 5 or more at your office.  Participants must be at least twelve years old.
