& Testing Services
A communicable and/or infectious disease is an illness or infection that
can be spread through the environment by people, animals, air, water, food,
etc.
Communicable diseases are the leading cause of sickness and death
worldwide and are the third leading cause of death in the United States.
The Communicable Disease staff investigate reportable communicable
diseases such as chickenpox, measles, mumps, German measles, Salmonella and
whooping cough, to help identify and control the spread of communicable
diseases within the community and control potential communicable disease
public health threats.
Staff also assists with outbreak investigations.
Services Include:

- Collaborate with public health and community partners
- Provide consultation
- Provide educational programs
