Current H1N1 Clinic Information

H1N1 vaccine is available at all of Jackson County Health Department's Immunization Clinics throughout Eastern Jackson County. Please see the listing below for days and times of our clinic locations.

H1N1, as all influenza, is a respiratory disease that is spread through the air when someone coughs and/or sneezes. It is found on the contaminated hands of people who are infected by the influenza virus.

Prevention:

  • Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer to reduce germs
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Cough and/or sneeze into your elbow or tissue and immediately dispose of used tissue in trash can (www.coughsafe.com)
  • Stay home when you are sick to avoid spreading disease to co-workers, friends and other people
  • Stay healthy by eating a balanced diet, drink plenty of water and get adequate rest and exercise

Call your doctor if you have symptoms of:

  • Fever >100 F
  • Coughing
  • Sore throat
  • Respiratory congestions
